The downloadable checklists are nearly as useful as the on-line references.
Once you download them, they are easily searchable; however, they only
cover three decades.  The lists from 1959 and earlier and the most recent
are not available for download.

I haven't paid my $10.00 since they switched from free access, but if you
are going to be looking up lots of ancestries, breeders, descriptions,
doing lots of cross-referencing, etc., I'd say it's worth it.  It is SO
much easier to find things than thumbing through the pages of the printed
versions.  Of course those are a one time investment (well maybe a several
time if you wear them out the way I do).

One thing about the searching is that there are tricks to it (many of which
I never really learned in the short time I was using it).  Spelling issues
can be gotten around, but if you don't know how, you can miss a lot of
references, because the same names/words can be spelled differently in
different entries.
