Rebloomers will send up rebloom stalks on clumps of irises that are very
happy.

In some climates, various rebloomers are very happy, and in others they are
not.

In Sutton's garden, a variety may be very happy with the mild winters and long
growing season, so it may reliably rebloom year after year.

Now, if you were to take that very same variety and put it into a climate with
a short growing season and very cold winters, that variety may not be very
happy and may fail to rebloom. In other climates like mine, which are very
hot during the summer, the same variety may be stressed by the end of summer
and will not be very happy and will fail to rebloom.

Even though a variety may not rebloom in my climate, or in a colder climate,
it is still reported as a rebloomer for Suttons because the VARIETY continues
to rebloom for them in their garden.

Now, I should state some iris varieties love colder climates and will be very
happy. Some may love the heat of my garden and will be very happy come fall.
In those cases, rebloom will not only be reported by Suttons, but by the
gardener in the different climate as well.

Keep in mind, climate alone does not determine rebloom on rebloomers, being
VERY HAPPY does. A variety may be in the perfect climate for it to be very
happy, but unless it has had sufficient quantities of the other things that
make it very happy, it will fail to rebloom. Other things may include water,
fertilizer, air, maturity, lack of stress caused by things like sucking bugs
or iris borers and grubs, hormones, vernalization, etc.

I hope this sufficiently answers your questions and makes you VERY HAPPY ,
