Re: REF: Online verses Print

Harold, Looks like this is deeper than realized.... but how can AIS
control info or not allow it to be published as long as the document is
properly identified as a source document for informational,
identification type purposes? Does this mean that any catalogs published
or on line that include R&I descriptions are in trouble? Why would AIS
want to limit the exposure or information? Seems they would encourage
standardization in descriptions. I appreciate your insight and opinions.
I am not an AIS member so cannot address their policy only ask questions.
My understanding is that this list is open to the public and to all
people interested in sharing iris info and has no affilliation,
sponsorship or control by the AIS. There may be many people with
overlapping interests and AIS related dialogues, hence the subject tags!
I also understood this same applied to the on line database and data. Am
I wrong? Maybe I misunderstood the message too. It might be a good idea
to remind newer people reading this too that the information is supplied
voluntarily and shared in a conversational manner and as with any
freebie, use some judgement and check veracity when in doubt.

On another note entirely, the iris collection I bought from you years ago
is still one of the best and healthiest beds I have! Thank you.
