I know that many people like myself would like to have both. <<<

I much, much prefer printed matter which makes me an oddity, it
seems, on this question. Yes, I 'do' subscribe to the online R &
I's but frankly use it seldom simply because I am most
interested in the recent R & I's and these are not on the online
version, yet.

I am not complaining since I have not volunteered since I am not
good at transcribing word for word. (too impatient or too
sloppy...take your pick, they both hold true for me :-)

** John, I hate to ask this question since I think it must have
been asked and answered in posts when I took my regular hiatus
from the list. But since Arnold and Neil said there are 'no
stupid or dumb questions', I will ask. It can be construed to be
complicated but really isn't (don't think).

Query about the online checklists:

Why aren't we scanning the most recent ones? I realize the older
R & I's (especially the earliest) were not up to snuff for the
online registry...or that is what I have been told on this list
and I agree. I can't even decipher the oldest decade checklist.

Thanks for taking the time to answer,

Ellen
