For what it's worth, I'd much rather have a book. But really believe it's a generational thing. I'm more relaxed and comfortable researching whatever I need in books - maybe because while writing fiction for 12 years, I researched historical detail using reference books, even though I switched from composing (not researching) on the typewriter to a computer early in my career (which wasn't necessarily early in my life!). I like the tangible feel of the tome in my hands.
My daughter, on the other hand, grew up with computers (I remember helping to teach her kindergarten class how to use a pc). She's even planned her wedding usuing The Knot.com (or something like that). She does read books, but not as much as I do. On the other hand, I'm not sitting at the computer half as much.
Computers do, however, make many things easier.
