>>> 'Beyond Dreams'.

(Linda Miller '04) TB, SA, 40", EM. S. Buff yellow with orchid
defused rib.
Falls are violet-orchid with buff yellow hafts. The violet-blue
tipped yellow
orange beards sport small violet-blue horns. 7 buds. In Your
Dreams X
(Tripple Whammy x Edith Wolford) <<<

The names of the colors different hybridizers use to describe
their irises really mystifies me. Case in point: What the heck
is "buff yellow"? Is it light yellow, bright yellow or muted
lemony yellow or ?? At least the RHS numbers had some rationale
even tho' I never a chart.

While I am on my little rant here <vbg>, when it says 7 buds, I
chuckle. If I ever saw a TB with 7 buds, I would faint. The most
I have seen in my garden is 5 and only 6 on 'Seeking' -
obviously my fav. TB. I realize that the 7 buds refers to the
hybridizer's garden. Note bene.

Very warm here today for late Sept. = 68 degrees and sunny.
