I've lost the comment in all the messages from yesterday, but Paul
Archer mentioned, among other things, the possibility of hybridizers in
more benign (or at least different) climates making crosses using
cultivars that we can't grow.
This is something I am very interested in and would gladly pay money to
get seed pods from some crosses I haven't been able to make here because
I can't get one parent to grow and the other is stingy about blooming.
Mary Lou has made one such cross for me this year! I owe you, Mary
Lou! Hoping they germinate. And don't all die immediately thereafter.
