There is nothing 'average' about most winters. This past winter had several
days that were zero and sub zero, while the winter before had no days below
15 with many above freezing.
Edith has survived in her pot through both extremes and two different
locations. My 2 mtbs haven't been moved from the pots either. WELCH'S REWARD
looks like it might be slightly damaged for this summer's heat combined with a
bad location. Bad location means it didn't get watered much. Over crowding is
probably a problem in this case, too.
