Yes, John, I've used Basagran on yellow nutsedge here for several years. It
does no harm to the iris and does a good job on the nutsedge. The nutsedge
begins to wither in a few days and is completely killed. You may get a
smaller second crop of nutsedge springing up soon thereafter, but usually so
sparse that you can weed it easily. Or, you can hit it with Basagran again,
and it will take out that second crop just as it did the first. One
caution: Be careful of companion plants. I sprayed several of my Japanese
barberries which had nutsedge growing among them, and it damaged them, maybe
permanently. -- Griff
