I had braces installed on my 'iris' carport/workplace. When work men wereI took a length of 2" mesh chicken wire fencing and tacked it up between two roof trusses in my garage overhang. I just stick a rz upside down through the mesh and squeeze it shut around the base of the fan to hold it in place. Works like a dream.
finished with some reconstruction, I put the left over timbers through those
braces. Nails in the timbers makes it easy to hang anything I want. Mesh bags
help too. (recycled onion bags)
