Griff, me too.  But I've always waited until later so the soil in the  pots 
would be cold/cool before I plant.  To avoid fall sprouts.  If  you're not 
getting fall sprouts in zone 7, then mine should be safe in zone  6.  
 
Sometimes it is quite a hardship planting that late.  Last year it was  so 
cold that I brought the pots indoors to plant.  Not a good idea  either.  Even 
with the best care and intentions, there is a mess to clean  up.  
 
About half of my pots are filled already.  Think I will try  planting earlier 
this year.  If I plant everything I'll have over 50  pots.
