Re: HYB: Sprouts from 05 and 06 seed

Way to go Mary Lou!

I am glad I didn't try that this year! With so many seedlings still in germination pots from winter and spring germination, more babies coming up now would have been waay over the top.

But this year, there are only 10 pods, plus there should be a lot fewer delayed germinants this coming spring, so I may try it. Germination does tend to be poorer/more delayed on some of the everbloomer type crosses (some of the IMM, RENOWN, VIOLET MIRACLE crosses)

Could you elaborate a bit on what you did? I remember your posting something about it, but not the details.

Did you put them in the fridge after outdoor temperatures went up this spring, or did you keep them at germination temperatures (~50 to 60oF?) the whole time?

Did you let them dry out any before re-wetting and re-frigerating <g>?

Did you dump pots into baggies or stick whole pots in the fridge or ?
