You're welcome, Loic. Be happy to look up pedigrees on these old irises. I love that you are working with them and really enjoy seeing your baby pix.
However, a little bird has pointed out to me that I grabbed the wrong Norton when I looked up the bio. The Norton who hybridized RAJAH BROOKE was in Yakima Washington. Plus he says it was actually registered in 1945 (not '44 as shown in the checklist).
The bee babies I got from HELEN COLLINGWOOD were so nice (relatively speaking), I made an intentional cross with ROMANTIC EVENING, which I suspect was the parent in the 'bee' cross. If we'd had a growing season this year :-(, they would have been big enough to bloom by spring, but it will be at least another year now...
Also have a nice pod in the fridge from SHAH JEHAN this year. -- Linda Mann east Tennessee USA zone 7/8 East Tennessee Iris Society <http://www.DiscoverET.org/etis> Region 7, Kentucky-Tennessee <http://www.aisregion7.org> American Iris Society web site <http://www.irises.org> talk archives: <http://www.hort.net/lists/iris-talk/> photos archives: <http://www.hort.net/lists/iris-photos/> online R&I <http://www.irisregister.com> --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE IRIS
