Loic, I really like what you are trying to achieve. Local daylily nursery man (Stewart Oakes) keeps encouraging me to work towards exactly what you are doing. A 'Stella D'Oro' of the irises, a super reliable everblooming iris that can be used in landscaping.
The smaller flowers should be a lot easier to get in the rebloomer lines that tolerate high humidity and heavy mulch. Or at least that <seems> to be the default bloom size here!
