Hi,
How do you do with the Japanese Beetle (Ladybug) I have noticed that I don't
have any around my house while neighbors have hundreds.
If you have Deer problems you could try reflective plates, like the aluminum
ones. Staple them to a string and then staple that to the top of a stick 4
feet or so tall. Move them every couple of days. The deer don't like the
reflection or the noise.
I am going in for vein surgery tomorrow. My legs aren't horrid but I have
insurance and the surgery will last at least 15 years. I have one really
bad spot on my left leg. My regular doc recommended I take care of them.
Rose got after me at the Convention too. The doc puts a catheter in the
vein in my thigh and puts electricity to it to kill the vein. My Step
mother went in for the same thing and they ended up stripping her veins.
She has been laid up all summer.
Then I will have two weeks off to recover. More time than normal because I
am up and down with my job. I walk all over the offices delivering papers
and picking up other things. I seldom sit for more than five minutes at a
time. My boss said this afternoon she already missed me.
My collection efforts have netted a reduction of owed material over $60,000.
We sell repaired sliding glass door parts and require a return of those
defective parts. When I took over the job the money owed was over $99,000
and now I have it down to about $28,000. Big job and lots of phone calls,
the payoff is I have business friends across the country and Canada. Many
of them are very nice and only need a nudge to get the parts in the mail to
return them. Others not so nice and they are the ones that are behind on
their bills.
One guy gets away with yelling at his employees and everyone he deals with.
When he started yelling at me I told he very quietly to stop yelling and
when he started again I told him to stop. Now he calls and he is nice to
me. He still yells at the rest of his crew and our crew.
Hope your family is doing well. Have you been to Canada? How is Tanya?
How is Carolyn? How are their families doing. Did you get any fishing in?
I am so jealous. I have not been fishing in a long time. I used to love to
fish.
Have a great winter and I hope to see you in KC in the spring.
Your friend, Char

Char,
I do. It seems to work well. I know others in our club think it is very
effective.
Hope all is well with you. Still trying to rescue iris from the weeds and
figure out a way to avoid the annual repetition. It does do some natural
selection in my seedlings--only the strongest survive!
Best wishes,
Chuck
