Chuck, they've all been from rebloom genetics. I do make a few other
crosses but none have ever rebloomed here.
These have all been older seedlings that weren't trashed when they
should have been. All, except 2130-01 (Again & Again x Echo Location,)
have been in their current place for 2 years or more. Most are children
of either Star Gate or All Revved Up.
Two of these have summer bloomed before. The one with a new stalk,
1625-01re, usually blooms in August. (child of SG) One of it's children
(2008-01re) bloomed last fall and again this August.
This summer has been much cooler and wetter than usual. Night temps
have been lower than normal. Rain stopped 32 days ago and the ground is
currently like concrete. I've only watered when and where I need to
dig.
I have a security light so there is some night light . . . always. All
of my crosses are germinated outside. I do not use grow lights.
I'm guessing the time planted, or temperatures at the time, is not
pertinent in this situation?
In 2006, I had a lot of summer bloom on seedlings that had been planted
in early July of 2005. During a cool spell. Some germinated in 2005 and
some earlier.
The Blatant x All Revved Up cross has produced summer bloom on 5
seedlings, rebloom on 12/36. 1907-01re summer bloomed (July) in both
2006 & 2009.
Probably not much help.

I'm doing a bit of a study on seedling that bloom out of season like
this, so if you don't mind, a few questions.B
B
When did these seeds germinate? Were they under lights in winter? If so
when were they planted out, and was there any cool weather at the time
they were planted?B
B
Reblooming genetics I assume?B

The last rain here was July 30th with 1.5 inches. Lots of seedlingsB
bloomed in July and early Aug.B
B
Now, I have two stalks in bloom on Over & Over. Just found 2 stalks inB
one planting of Returning Chameleon. One was showing color. AB
seedling with earlier bloom also has another stalk. (4th)B
B
Garden care hasn't been the best this year, so I'm happy with what IB
got.B
