Be aware that a roll of film takes up about a third of a photoCD,
which has something like 30 times the storage of a floppy. The
image on the floppy can be usable, but it will have much less detail
than the original.

Color inkjets are improving at a phenomenal rate. I bought one about a
year
and a half ago, and I'm thinking about upgrading already. Still not
photo
quality yet, though. (Actually, I am really lusting for a 1200 dpi
Lexmark
b&w laser printer, but I can't quite justify it yet.)
