If you are ever near Ponca, Nebraska (which is 25 or so miles
west of Sioux City, IA) and are interested in this home decorating
with iris scheme, you should stop in and see the home of Larry
Harder. I know that some of you are well acquainted with Larry, as he
a long-time irisarian and well-known in AIS circles. If you were at
the 1990 AIS convention in Omaha you may have visited Larry's home.
He has the collection to beat all collections, I'm sure, of iris
artifacts and memorabilia, and his home is full of all sorts of iris
motif articles of every kind and description. It's a marvel, and if
this interests you, make it a must-visit if you are ever in this
region. His garden is worth the visit anyway--iris, hosta,
daylilies, and a multitude of other plants.

around the corner. Of course, it is, as South Dakota's Black Hills
have a deep pile of snow that's fallen in the last 2 days.)
