I realize this has nothing much to do with iris lore but it has been
bugging me ever since I was old enough to read. I'll stick to iris in the
future - its a safer subject.

Bruce!! There's no way you'll loose this new friend, especially over a
discussion of the language!! And we wouldn't have any iris lore at all
if we didn't have language?? You missed the discussion of the pronunciation
of psuedocorus!! Some folks just don't want to hear about regionalisms,
and differences of dialect. But it's fascinating!! -- and a part of my
formal study --
