Louisianas & swimming pools

I watered some LA irises with the backwash from my pool filter for most 
of one summer.  It didn't seem to harm them.  I'd try them in your 
location.  Keep a close eye on them when you first start using the pool.  
If they don't seem to like it you can always move them.
