Yes, Diana.  The outer leaves of the fans are falling away from the rest of
the fan and "wilting" and getting yellow at the tips, so i'm taking them off
as they pull very easily, and removing those that went down to the soil when
it was raining.  

Interesting that the new foliage in the center of the fan is very short and
stubby, and looks like it is not going to grow into long leaves.  This is
the same every year. I think these are the leaves that are intended to stay 
over the winter.  Shure makes the plot look neat when the long stragly ones
are removed and the short even ones are left!
