I left Kevin Walek's talk at the 1/3rd mark -- we had two OTHER hybridizers,
a group of OHS folks from Ontario, Canada, many irisarians, daylily fanatics,
master gardeners -- more than 100 folks, I'd say, not larger than Kevin's
usual crowd he said.  He showed some slides of his property and some others,
we had a break during which there was a drawing and each person received a
seedling, and then there were more slides, mostly of Kevin's favorite golds
and some more gardens, and then another break when Kevin said he would be
able to carry on for a good long time still.....  

Wonderful fun!! Great plants!! He has stamina enough to fly home but 
we hope he'll be back soon.  (The high temperature is around 65 here, and
he's comfortable in shorts!! maybe it's to remind him of where home is)
