Well you can stop keeping your fingers crossed, they are VERY MUCH
purple stained where the leaves join the rhizome.
So you say I have a treasure!! I think I must start treat them with
more respect. Now they are growing in the shadow in a heap together
with the yellow ones, but its rather easy to see what plant is blue and
what is yellow because the dark purple leaves. (as you can see they are
flowering there too)
Well, Keep your head down when I'm starting to flood the market with a
completly new series of super hardy hybrids, based on this treasure.
(I succeded in making a cross with the yellow one, and have some seeds
here still waiting for harvest. Boy!! one seed was huge, looked like a
fat caterpillar.)
Any suggestions what color combinations that should be the best to
make the first generation cross with this one (and the yellow)!!

ps I have a third type of iris, but no photos, as they didnt bloom
this year, (may be a species). ds
