At the CIS meeting on Saturday, I purchased CITY OF STRATFORD because I like
the name, and it's a magnificant rhizome with a half dozen increases.
At the discussion about the history of CIS, the hybridizer, MILES was
mentioned, but I don't remember what was said. Chuck Chapman's catalogue
lists CITY OF STRATFORD as a Miles '46, and says, Dark red self; a Canadian
historical.
Lloyd or Bruce -- what can you tell us about this hybridizer?? I'll bet
CITY OF STRATFORD is rot resistant!!
