William Miles came from England, where he was trained, to do hybridizing for
Mr. Graff or Groff of Simcoe. Later he purchased a dairy farm near Ingersoll,
(east of London), and hybridized on his own. I introduced MINDEMOYA for him,
a lovely blue. ELIZABETH OF ENGLAND was another good blue. VICE REGAL was
perhaps his best, a rich red-violet. I knew the lady who persuaded William to
register CITY OF STRATFORD , and its growing qualitites were superb, tho' it
may not win too many friends from its looks. Lloyd Zurbrigg, zone 7.5 ,
