J. Poore, I sincerely hope your last message I have quoted is an aberration.
I am not a prude, but this sort of language is not acceptable. Having no
idea why you seem so angry, it is difficult to understand why you find the
humanistic side of this list so offence. Many of us enjoy the personal
information, the humor, the opinions (whether we agree with them or not),
the
human frailities, the human triumphs. The iris, in all its forms and
aspects, is a subject which has fascinated me for many years---but divorced
from the intellects, personalities, knowledge, desires, and aesthetics of my
compatriots of what value is it? >>
Thank you, Clarence for putting down in works what I know many of us were
thinking. I too value my "iris" time but without the human side of it would
find it less than fulfilling. I am sorry that "Glen" felt he had to
unsubscribe but just as happy not to have to sit through another of his
diatribes. Had he remained I would probably just have used my delete key to
handle his entries-unread, something I have not yet done with any mail on
this lisl. Thanks again,
