You are behind the times, John. Our great Commonwealth (which is what we
should be called in casual conversation) has modified the motto. Now it is
"Virginia is for iris lovers!" <grin>
Clarence Mahan in the great Commonwealth, on the very edge of zone 7, along
the Potomac River, and inside the Beltway! (To reflect how misleading zones
can be, the peak tall bearded iris bloom season in Washington, D.C., 10 miles
from my home, is a good two weeks before mine! And this is true every year.)
