I have a patch of BLUE SHIMMER (tall bearded) that crawled under the wooden
horse fence to get away from the sweet williams. Now the horse keeps the
grass and most weeds picked out of the iris patch. So far, he hasn't knocked
off any blooms, but probably would on more fragile varieties. They are right
where I usually feed him. One of the daylilies also has tried to escape, and
he doesn't eat it either, but does knock off the blooms. HOWEVER, horses
have personalities too, and you may get one that wants to play with the
plants.
