Re: fertilizer when and how much

I am a strong believer in
environmental protection, but I don't think Cygon is a threat. I do
appreciate the views of those who prefer using no chemicals, but its not for
e
one. I don't think I could grow tall bearded irises if I could not use
Cygon. Clarence Mahan in northern VA

Oh, I agree, Clarence, that Cygon is not much of a threat to the environment.

It seems to be gone within the 7 to 10 days, and etc. etc.

However, some folks who know more about human physioloby would caution about
its use and the effects on HUMANS -- I think that any advocacy of chemical
treatements (hey, it kills non-plant living things!) must be tempered by
cautions --

But I could not grow iris without it!! I try to use it as far away from
my body as the sprayer nozzle will allow, cover my body thoroughly, immediately
shower when I'm done, and breathe as much of the shower spray as possible,
wash out my mouth, etc etc etc, and put the clothes into the washer to wash
immediately!! And even leave the shoes outside for quite awhile!!

Someone said that if you can smell it, you're breathing it!! We don't know
what the toxins do to the body -- my advise is, if you choose to use it,
use it with caution!!

Again, I use it myself!!
