<< Barb: I wish you better success with the plastic pieces of Venetian
blind than I had. Pushing them into the ground till they are almost
covered is something I never did, but what a pain when you have a
lot. Mine either became brittle and cracked or were heaved out of the
ground by the severe winter freezing/thawing. I found it worth the
cost to buy metal markers. >>
For those of you with beds edged with landscaping timbers (as many of mine
are) I have found the easiest way to beat dogs, frosts, weed-eaters, kids,
and tillers is to screw the metal label down to the timber. The labels I use
are designed with four holes in them to hold them on a stake. I buy the
label only and take my cordless drill out to the garden and voilla!! I have
permanent labels.
P.S. Charlies Brother-p labels really do look great!!
