X Pardancanda norrissii is the result of a cross between the vesper iris
(Pardanthopsis dichotoma--not an iris, strictly speaking, but a close
relation) and the blackberry lily (Belamcanda chinensis). The flowers look
like brightly colored speckled butterflies hovering over the plants. There
is a wide color range. It's a very nice garden plant, but for some reason
mine persisted only a couple years. I'll try them again soon.
