So that's what I am! And here I thought I was just plain nuts Sunday,
returning from a trek in the nearby swamp covered with mud, grass seed, and
assorted other debris, while madly scratching my nettles rash ---BUT
clutching a plastic bag of I. versicolor seeds for the SIGNA exchange this
year!
(For those worrying about the ecological implications of seed collecting, I
hasten to add that this swamp is currently seriously endangered by adjacent
gravel mining and probably will not exist in a few more years. Nevertheless,
I collected a small fraction of what I found. And had some sympathetic words
for the beaver and some harsh words for the folks who sold that land to the
gravel miners.)
