Dana... I just did an article on labeling for our Botanical Gardens
newsletter so I did some research (ie, I asked people on this list and on the
daylily list for their suggestions).

Personally, I use EON labels labeled using a Brother P-Touch, but one person
uses his ink jet on the clear labels..then sprays them with acrylic!  There
are lots of folk who use pieces of miniblinds... one idea I liked took that a
step further and the actually punches a hole in the middle and dangles it
from a piece of heavy wire shaped into a crook (looks good, you'd have to see
it).  Other people mention that there is a "paint pen" you can purchase at
art supply stores that will outlast so-called 'permanent markers'.   A couple
of cautions... plastic becomes brittle and may break off... and wood
(popsicle sticks) IS biodegradable.

Kathyguest... who also loves the trick of BURYING the label that comes on the
plant in the planting hole so... in case the worst happens....
