Ok Dana, here goes.
There are a couple of ways to do this. Save the 2 or 3 liter plastic
coke or pepsi bottles.
Way #1 - take top off - mix Miracid and pour in the bottle. make a small
"bowl" in the ground around the plants to be fed. Invert the bottle,
covering the opening with your hand. quickly place the bottle in the
"bowl" and remove your hand. Lift up slightly to get a little air in the
bottle and set it back. This is the slowest way for the feeding. The
fluid will "wick" out over time, usually a couple of days.
Way #2. Same as above, but take the top and drill 3-4 small holes in it.
Also drill a hole in the center of the bottom of the bottle. Place your
finger over the bottom when filling. This is a little faster, but the
results are worth it.
In the Spring my neighbors haw haw over the bottles in the LA and
Siberian beds. BUT they oooo and ahhhh when they bloom.
