spurias and aril-breds?

Our droughty summer and having to water with our very alkaline
irrigation water had me wondering about getting some aril or aril-bred
iris (for the dryness) and some Spurias (for the alkalinity). I saw
some Spurias in a "A-to-Z" bulb catalog, but wondered if you would have
specific species or hybrid suggestions, as well as aril-bred
suggestions.
