On a personal note, I do not know if you are aware that one of your greatest
admirers, and a dear friend of many of us, Ruby Buchanan died in June. She
was the first to mention your name to me in a Region 4 species robin. A
marvelous lady, who in her later years seldom left her home...but whose
dedication to the growing and studying of species iris remained keen to the
very last.
