I may be on a wild goose chase but I have been trying to get Dietes 
(probably bicolor) to flower over the last four years.  The seeds were 
collected in Perth, Australia and Los Angeles and the seedlings mixed 
completely by one of our dogs!  Each year the plants get bigger but slowly.  
The largest are now 2 ft.  How long from germinatio to flowering in South 
Africa and the southern U.S.?
