Long's Garden is one of the oldest, continuously in business, iris
specialist nurseries in the U.S. They have always had an outstanding
reputation, and I believe they are currently operated by Dennis and Cathy
Gates (nee Long). Clarence Mahan in VA
PS. Dennis Gates is the one who took the photograph of my garden that was on
the cover of the January 1995 AIS Bulletin...Most beautiful picture ever
taken in my garden. Boy, do I like Dennis! (Cathy, too, she's a beautiful
person!)
