Mme. Chereau is the oldest diploid pallida now KNOWN to be grown. Her color
is blue and white; a clear, pure white ground, 'stitched' with blue lines.

The unusual thing about the stitching is the precision and regularity of
spacing, length and repeatability of the 1/2" blue lines entirely rimming
standards and falls. The spacing, line width and line length are so perfect
one might believe that the lines were applied by a technical pen wielded by
a draftsman.
