Yes, put the "powdered" rhizomes back in the ground.
Re planting the Siberians in mushroom soil improved soil, I did that last
year and the Siberians loved it. With the Japanese, you might put the
mushroom soil in the bottom of the hole with a layer of dirt on top before
planting...the Japanese do not like their roots to touch manure until they
