Fungicide/ Spray Project

Uh, Oh, Louise again here. I was responding to a question about northwest
cultural needs and hoped that the list would like the tip and help us out
with a fungicide name/s appropriate for iris.

>From my correspondence...shotgun with a mix that has "iris" listed on the
label. If I have chronic problems, I am more likely to try moving or to
discard the plant than to spray it forever. The fungicides are expensive
and they do not keep well. Otho puts out a big book in stores that one can
look these things up in. The people at our local CENEX farm supply are very
helpful and know the less expensive brands.

BTW, it is a nice project for neighbors or clubs to share these expensive
products. You can take advantage of bulk prices AND waste less. With many
of them freshness is important. If you have nice neighbors (like I am lucky
enough to have ;) you can also coordinate the spraying and make it more
effective. Our rose society buys bottles of spray in cartons, but the kind
they buy (Funginex) is not labeled for iris. Right now I can't remember the
name of the fungicide that is good for iris. I'll post just this part of
the message and ask on the list! Clarence or Dave or whoever?!!

Louise, who seems determined today to letterbom Iris-L! ;-)
