With reference to the recent comments on Iris uniflora. The 1989
edition of Mathew that I have classes it as a separate species from
ruthenica. In addition, the new BIS volume also keeps it as a separate
species, although admitting that our knowledge of the variability in the
Ruthenicae is scant.
