I have several "patches" of wild iris' that grow all over my yard.
usually in the shade of large pines. Every once in a while, one will
flower it is the purple-est purple I have ever seen... the whole plant
is maybe 4 inches tall, and the flower does not grow any taller than the
leaves. the flowers have yellow things running down the center of the
down-turned petals. they do not appear to have a bulb or anything else,
just roots... Anyone know what these are?
