There has been a multicolored strain of Butterfly Weed on the market since
at least the early 1980's under the name "Gay Butterflies" that includes
red and yellow flowers as well as the original orange. I am not certain
whether these are a selection of naturally occurring variants of Asclepias
tuberosa as Mark Cook suggested, or a hybrid strain, as stated in some seed
catalogs.
