Hello, Talk-ers!
At this time of year here, the Painted Lady butteflies (Vanessa spp.) are
much drawn to the flowers of the bright fuchsia pink fall blooming aster
'Alma Potschke'. They pretty much ignore the 5 or 6 other varieties of fall
blooming aster in the garden, but Alma P. draws them like a magnet. The
caterpillars, BTW, prefer to dine upon thistle.
