As to the topic of weeds;    When we first moved here, I jumped right out
and planted a Veggie garden. Looked good, very few weeds. Harvest was in
need of production. Some veggies grew but were not of the expected size.
After a few years of learning we now grow weeds and a fair crop of Veggies.
I think if the soil won't grow a weed, don't expect a good crop. Weeds
cultivated add to the soil.     Bill
