Batik is a BB iris with splashes of white on the blue blossums. Very
different.
The book you bought is the current rage among iris growers, and yes, the
names are the same for iris around the world, and yes, you can get the irises
you mentioned here in the states, but you may have waited too long to order
them for this year.
I also grow roses but not on the scale you do.
