I doubt that there will ever be TURKEY AND DRESSING, ROAST
AND GRAVY, DIRTY RICE, or BROCCOLI AND CHESSE or
LIVER AND ONIONS. But, we do have KITCHEN SINK to put all
our dirty dishes in. These just don't sound appealing as iris names.
I think there is a Louisiana with etouffe in the name, and there are
CRAYFISH and SKUNK GREASE. To be it's like naming a haloed
or banded iris TOILET SEAT! If you really like your introduction
and want others to like it, purchase it, and for it to get awards, you
should stay away from 'icky' names. It is an injustice to the plant.
I cozy up to the dessert names though! Sorry for such ramblings
this early in the morning.
