We had over 2 inches of rain during the day yesterday, but Floyd really
started to hit during the night. I'm measuring a little over 8" so far,
with the worst still to come. Winds are picking up now, with gusts to 40
mph. It's low tide, now, so the river behind my house is not flooded,
but that will change.
And to think that a few weeks ago, state officials said that the only
way to end the drought would be for a hurricaine to hit. Be careful what
you wish for.
