I experienced massive damage to rhizomes in September. (I've seen this
before, just not nearly as much.) Perfectly round holes have appeared in
most, if not all, rhizomes in pots. Established clumps have the same type of
damage to a lesser degree. I spotted one rhizome that has a hole bored right
through the middle--extending completely through the rhizome. Little hope
for its survival with the rainy season coming. I don't have a wad of gum big
enough to plug the hole!
